World Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st of June every year. This was proposed by the current Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to the United Nations. United Nations General Assembly President Sam Kutesa announced June 21 as International Yoga Day. He said that more than 170 countries have supported the proposal of the International Yoga Day, which shows the sum of the invisible and visible benefits of yoga to the people of the world. UN General assembly President congratulated the PM Narendra Modi whose initiative on June 21 of every year has been declared as yoga day.

Yoga is an ancient art which was originated in India around five thousand years ago. Yoga is a good practice if one does it in daily life. It helps to measure healthy lifestyle and better life forever. Yoga may be a practice to bring body parts together to form a balance of body, mind and soul.

We should let our kids know the benefits of yoga as well as tell them to practice yoga in their daily life routine. It is considered that yoga began in India in Pre-Vedic period. Since thousands of years ago yoga has been a part of Indian lifestyle. It is India's heritage. Yoga has the facility to unite the whole humanity. It is an ideal blend of data, action and devotion. Countless people round the world have made yoga a neighborhood of their lives. In many parts of the world it has been spreading. But it is expected that it will spread after this day i.e 21 June which will be celebrated as World Yoga Day.

The aim of World Yoga Day is to make people aware of the benefits of Yoga in the world. Every year on 21st June all the districts organize yoga program. The program is organized by blocks and panchayats. All schools, colleges, yoga institutions including large number of policemen take part in yoga program.
