Digital India is an initiative launched by our government for easy access of  government services by the people. Digital India program is launched by the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi on 1st July 2015.Digital India's focus is to provide excellent digital infrastructure with seamless internet connectivity. It aims to provide high speed internet connectivity to the rural areas.

Key Features of Digital India.

  • To create a secure and best digital infrastructure.
  • To provide all government services digitally.
  • To make each and every person as digitally literate.

Digital India wants to facilitate the manufacture of electronic goods, giving IT services and increasing job prospects in the country. Digital India program is also support by the private telecom and IT companies of India. Digital India campaign helps to fill the gap of rural and urban India by creating job opportunities for the rural youths.

Digital India Government

Bharat Broadband Network Limited ( BBNL) a government company which operates "Bharat net Project" is executing digital India campaign. Bharat net plans to connect all 625000 villages of India with optical fiber network for high speed internet.

Digital India will help in eradicating the black money and corruption through transparent digital transactions. Digital India will also increase job opportunities by creating 50000 vacancies for BPOs in different states.

Private companies are also promoting Digital India campaign by enhancing and setting networks along with employment all over India. Now in the current time when people living in digital era ,it is to go with technology as world is going digital day by day. Individual should learn to use digital technology in daily works such as communication, transactions and business etc.

Government of India wants to co-ordinate with common public by connecting digitally. In this way our society will become digitally empowered. It is a great challenge for government of India to educate people about the use of digital technology especially in rural areas where literacy rate is very low. Making India cashless and paperless are the main part of digital India. Besides many helpful apps have been launched under Digital India.

It is a good news that people are showing interest in technology and they are very excited to learn it especially in rural areas. Very soon it will become normal for the people everywhere. Thus Digital India is a great step taken by the Government of India for the development of the country.
