In some scenario it is not the same, some children are burdened by the responsibilities of their family. So they do some sort of work to earn their livelihood at a very young age.

What is Child Labour?

Child labour is an act of employing children in the early age. It has become a social issue. Main reason for child labour is poverty. Parents below poverty line are not able to meet the basic needs of their family, so their children are forced to work on low wages in unhygienic conditions.
Government has made several policies to encourage these children to study. Free education and mid-day meal is also provided in the government schools. It is the responsibility of the citizens of a country not to hire such children to work and encourage them for their education. Children are meant to learn not to earn.

When did Child Labour Started?

The practice of child labour started in the early 18th century, when the industrial revolution started. The rich became richer and the poor became poorer. Today it is estimated some 168 million children are trapped in child labour. Many of them work full time. Across all around the world 215 million children work. Some of them are being forced and some of them are helpless as their families are so poor that they do not have any other option other than sending their children to work.
The other thing is that nobody made any guidelines or law for their daily lives. It is even a law enforced by UNO that "Every child in the age of 6 to 14 years will be provided 8 years of elementary education. The place is as appropriate as a classroom in the vicinity of his/her house. If we need to stop this, we need to work together and follow the laws.
