What is Depression?
Depression is a medical illness which affects how you are feeling , the way you think and the way you act in a negative way. However it's also treatable. It creates a feeling of sadness and lack of interest in activities which are our hobbies. It can cause a spread of emotional and physical problems and may decrease a person’s ability to function at workplace or anywhere else.
What is Depression Symptoms?
Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and may include:
- Feeling sad or having a depressed mood.
- Loss of interest in hobbies.
- Loss of appetite — weight loss.
- Excess Sleep.
- Loss of energy or increased fatigue.
- Changed behavior.
- Feeling worthless or guilty
- Lack of concentration or making decisions.
- Thoughts of death or suicide.
What is Depression in Psychology?
Depression is different from simple grief or mourning, which are emotional responses to the loss of loved persons or objects. In Psychology it is stated as a mood or state of mind in which a person feels low self-esteem, worthless and feels alone or separated from the society. Depression affects an 6.7% adults in any given year. And one in six people (16.6%) will experience depression at a while in their life. Although depression can occur at any stage of life but it may first appears during the late teens to mid-20s.Studies show that one-third of girls will experience a serious depressive episode in their lifetime.

- Learn to accept failures, do not give up so easily as it is not the end.
- Try to make yourself busy in some activities such as some sport or workout, dancing session in your spare time.
- Make your daily routine.
- Do not think those things that you have no control over.
- Take a sound sleep of 7-8 hours daily.
- Do meditation.
