What is Green Tea?

In modern age many of us used to take green tea without knowing its actual affects on our body. It is a type of tea which is made from camellia sinensis. It is originated in China but now its production and manufacture is spread to other countries of the world too. Like black teas green tea does not undergone the process of oxidation and withering.

  2. Green Tea has a powerful antioxidant Catechin which is more powerful than Vitamin C and E.
  3. It saves us from many diseases.

  5. It promotes health of heart. 
  6. It helps in Weight loss.
  7. It helps on reducing Bad cholesterol.
  8. It removes toxins from Body. 
  9. It has Anti-aging properties.
  10. It also helps in keeping you young.
  11.  It protects liver, kidney and lungs functions.
  12.  It is good for High BP, diabetes and Thyroid patients.
  13. It improves brain function.
  14. It protects the brain from aging.
  15. It reduces bad breath.

Advantages of Green Tea

People who take Green tea are found to be less prone to cancer specially breast cancer so it is extra beneficial for women. But on the other hand overconsumption of Green tea has also opposite or bad effects on our body. As excess of everything in any form is bad which is applicable with green tea also. The consumption of green tea depends on person to person.

During pregnancy do not consume green tea more than 2 cups as excessive consumption of green tea may lead to  miscarriages so during pregnancy it’s advisable to avoid totally.

Side Effects of Green Tea.

  • Green Tea has caffeine so excessive intake may cause caffeine related health issues like insomnia, stomach upset, nausea, diarrhea and frequent urination. 
  • Over consumption of Green Tea increases outlet of calcium quantity through urine which leads to osteoporosis. There other side effects also which may affect your body in case you over consume it green tea.
